How To Curl Mink Hair Weave

One of the advantages to wearing Mink Hair Extensions, or Weave, is that you can perm, dye, and use heat styling tools on it just like your own hair. The hair also looks more realistic, unlike synthetic hair which often has a very shiny and overly perfect appearance. Curling your human hair weave is just as simple and quick as curling your own hair.

1. Pre-heat your curling iron. The curling iron should come with instructions on the ideal temperature setting to use for your hair type. The iron should not be extremely hot, or it will irreparably damage the hair.
2. Comb out a section of the hair weave. Using either a rat-tail or small comb, gently comb through the hair to remove tangles and knots. This will make it easier for the iron to curl your hair. The curl will also look smoother.
3. Pass the curling iron through the section of hair while holding it taut and away from your scalp. Only pass through the section of hair once or twice to prevent your hair from being subjected to an unnecessary amount of heat.
4. Leave the iron clamped to the end of the section of hair, and roll it upwards until the entire section of hair is rolled around the iron. Roll the curling iron in a clockwise motion for a curl flipping under, and counterclockwise for a curl flipping up. For a spiral curl, hold the iron in a vertical direction instead of horizontal. Be very careful to not get the hot iron too close to your scalp or rest it on your head.
5. Keep the hair rolled around the iron while gently unclamping it until the iron has released the section of hair. Your end result should look like a spiral curl or flip depending on which curl you chose to make.
